Look at me

Our sweet baby is a crawlin'.

I cannot believe it. It happens so fast, too fast. Before we know it she will be 5 then 8. Every moment with our children is precious, before too long they will be grown and gone.

Pappa John (& not the pizza!)

We love our Pappa John.

He always has the best stories & takes us on the most fun adventures. This time we only had him for a few hours; we were the pass thru not the destination. However, we always enjoy every moment we have with him. He is a school teacher and has always preferred being around the kids more than the adults. He always took us on adventures when we were young. We spent a lot of time outdoors and at the State Parks. Rarely staying on the beaten path. We once even got lost in the dark at Lost Maples. It was a little scary. We had no flash light or anything, just water. We ended up having to throw rocks out in front of us and crab crawl down so we didn't fall off a cliff. There was a point when my dad thought we might have to spend the night up there-but we made it back. It is from him I get my adventurous spirit and love for kids. (AND YES-I am adventurous-remember..I backpacked through Europe.) I may not seem to be that adventurous girl anymore, but she is still in there. Just a bit more cautious. I love my dad. I can't wait to spend a little more time with him on the return pass thru.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Christmas past at Grandpa & Grandma Bootsie's house...
wonder if there will be any snow this year.

Home School

Every Thursday, we host our home school co-op. We just finished up our creative writing class. The kids had a great time and Ms. Claire & Ms. Jewel did an AWESOME job! Today the kids performed their stories. They did wonderful. I have really enjoyed being with this group of families. It is so great to be a part of a group when you home school. All of my kids have really benefited from the friendships they are making.
Our school would not be complete w/o them.

Remember these..

We needed a little help with our teeth brushing so we got some of those fizzy color tabs to show us where we missed. E & C thought it was the funniest thing. They got such a kick out of it! R didn't need any help w/ her brushing so she just giggled at them, quite proud that the dentist told her she brushed her teeth perfectly!

TAG! You're it!

I've been tagged by Amy at

7 Random/Weird Facts About Myself

  1. I don't mind and actually like to trim and make my husbands toe nails look nice (and they are quite gnarly, but I don't mind)
  2. I am a weather freak. I follow the weather so closely during the spring. I even have people I call for updates if I am not home. They are kind of like my personal weather men.
  3. I get REALLY silly when I stay up late playing games. I love to joke around and laugh..not everyone always thinks I am funny - but I can't help myself.
  4. I have to have something warm to drink in the morning. My throat always hurts and I sound like a frog if I don't.
  5. I just started wearing eyeliner and mascara 2 1/2yrs ago. I still do not know how to apply it and eyeshadow just really confuses me.
  6. If I do not like the book I am reading or it starts to drag on I will read the end to see if it is worth continuing to read.
  7. When my husband and I watch TV we like to have conversations about what is going on and we do "a lot" of pausing and talking/commenting. We will say "pause it" then we talk and have our discussions. Sometimes it takes us FOREVER to finish a show. Plus we really annoy our family when they visit. We make them follow the "pause it " rules.

(Okay I know..I am weird)

Shrine Circus!

A night out at the circus!
A few weeks ago our wonderful friend at church Ms. Karen invited us to go w/ her to the circus.
In the past we had never been able to go.
I am so glad we were able to make it this year.
What an awesome time we had and the whole thing was FREE!
My kind of night :) . Thank-you sooooo much Ms. Karen!

We love the clowns!

Before the show started we were able to ride the elephants & camels!

C and the camel say "cheese"

I could not watch these guys, too scary for me..NO NET!

(I had grandpa take a picture.)

This was really cool and pretty to watch..

Okay the elephants rock!

They are truly one of God's most amazing creatures. I love them!

We had front row seats, just to the right of the center ring.

When is the last time you went to the circus?

Hope you had a much fun as we did!
