Nasty Habit..

Okay, I don't know what it is..but my cute, adorable, precious little baby girl has developed or is developing the nasty habit of pickin her nose.. She is not even a year old. It's too funny, BUT also really gross!!! and to make matters worse, she then puts her finger in her mouth. I know, I know - it's gross! Of course the older kids are both grossed out and think it is the funniest thing. Which it is. She goes at it like she's diggin for gold, twistin her finger and all!! It's funny to see a baby do that. I really didn't even believe my older kids when they were first telling me that she was doing it. I thought maybe her finger just like slipped up there, she was exploring her face, you know- but nope, she's a nose picker. Hopefully, I can nip this habit in the bud!

Soccer

We started playing Upwards Soccer w/ RHCC. All 3 kids are playing so we have a full day of practices and a FULL Saturday of games - BUT it's a lot of fun! And lil' C loves to be out there watching. E gets to play on his best friends team, so that is a real plus for him. This is C&R's first time playing soccer and they are really enjoying it. Here are a few pics from our first game. I got to tell you, I really need to tone it down at the games I cheer so loud. I am not at all about these parents who believe they need to put their kids in sports really young and pressure them to be the best and it is all about winning, BUT I can't help myself w/ the cheering, I just get too excited. I think I may be giving the coach the wrong impression, but it's all encouraging words. I mean if I was all into the winning and stuff we would not be playing Upwards, come-on we'd be in Select Soccer. :)

The kids "PARTY" at the Lodge was so much fun, but I am still feeling it. We partied hard and late! Here are the pics from our stay. If you haven't been out there you should try and go at least once :)!

They even got presents for eachother. E got C an Annikan Skywalker Lego man and C&R build "E" out of Legos for him! The were all very excited and R was such a help. She was so sweet to her big brother and sister!

Happy Birthday!

Well my Twins are turning 9 and I am a little down to think they have already lived half the time they will with me. I cannot believe they are 9!!!! I feel like I blinked and they are 9 and if I am not careful, I will blink again and they will be 18.! I treasure this time because I know that when it is gone it is gone. I love you E & C! You have changed me, my life in so many ways, I love you with all my heart and I am so glad the Lord entrusted me with your lives. I hope I bring him glory in raising the two of you. I hope you grow up to do wonders for His Kingdom!

Laura..I mean Jim

Laura or Jim , whichever you prefer, is our family pet. (He actually belongs to C.) I have to say for the most part I do not really care for fish. They are quiet, dirty, dull, smelly & you can't touch them. Laura however is different. She is a beta fish and has quite the personality. She is going on 3yrs old. She is a clean fish and very active. Many a times she has swam out to say hello to us. She follows our fingers around her bowl, jumps and snatches her food from the surface and at times has gone after a finger. She has survived 3 moves and is very low maintenance. The biggest hassle being I buy gallon drinking water to go in her bowl. She cost less than $5, I have only bought her 1 container of food, which can probably feed a lifetime of beta's (it looks barely touched). We usually only change the water when we notice it evaporating. Which is about every 4 or 5 weeks.?. Rarely does it get dirty where I need to change it. She is quiet, which I do not mind since I do not have to keep her quiet for lil C's naps. She/He , I still get confused - it is male though (we found out later, hence the name Jim). "HE" is pretty to look at and the best fish we have ever had. I must say I will miss Laura when he dies, I really will - I don't know if we will ever find another like him.
